Rules And Regulation

Teachers Rules

1.     Teachers should be present at school not later than 6:50 am. Teachers should sign the attendance book on their arrival in the morning and before leaving in the afternoon.

2.     Teachers should attend the Morning Prayer and should replace themselves in front of their respective classes.

3.     Permission to leave the school premises during working hours is granted only by the Principal.

4.     A Teacher who is to remain absent on any ground should inform the principal one day before the absence.

5.     No Teacher is allowed to do private reading when he/she in charge of a class. No teacher is allowed to leave his/her class unattended.

6.     Teachers should have full control over the pupils.

7.     Teachers should set on adequate amount of homework & classwork for the pupils and check the same.

8.     Teachers are responsible for maintaining discipline in classrooms, recess, playground or wherever need arises.

9.     Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited. Teachers have to submit mobile phones in the office everyday without failing.

10.  All the teachers have to complete one session that is up to the month of May.

11.  If any teacher wants to leave the school he/she has to inform at least 2 months before i.e.  in March.

12.  If any one teacher is leaving the school in the midterm he/she will not be eligible for experience certificate & shall forfeit one month’s salary.

13.  Corporal punishment is strictly prohibited. Anyone found giving corporal punishment shall be expelled at once.

14.  Teacher talking half day’s leave may be allowed to do so under real and grave needs only. Two half leaves will be counted as one C.L.

15.  Any kind of language mistake i.e spelling grammatical or any other errors by the teacher on students’ diary or book shall not be tolerated.

16.  Teachers have to co-operate in all school related activities even if these happen to be on Sundays or holidays.

17.  Taking proper care of classrooms, admiral, cupboard, and school furniture is also a responsibility of teachers.

18.  Teachers have to come in proper school uniform as per the pattern given by school. No fashionable clothing is allowed.

19.  No Teacher is allowed to contact directly to the management & similarly teachers have to take care that no student should contacts management without prior permission of the principal.

20.  As this is an English Medium School only English speaking is allowed. Any teacher found interacting with students in Hindi or in any other language may be expelled from the school.

21.  All the teachers are given 10 Casual leaves in a year (From June to May).Every month they can enjoy one C.L only in the emergency they can take 2 C.L.s

22.  Teachers have to complete the course in stipulated time. The progress of teaching shall be watched and monitored by the higher authorities of the school. The teachers are bound to give desired result as for each subject.

23.  Teachers should try to cultivate good manners, discipline and high moral character among students. Teachers are role models for students. They will imitate manners & behaviours of teachers so first behave yourself as you desire your students to do.

24.  Teachers are prohibited from visiting each other during school hours. From going into departments in which they are not employed: and from engaging in other work not pertaining to school duties during school hours.

25.  Teachers shall not leave their classrooms except in cases of emergency or unless it is absolutely necessary to leave. If it is unavoidable, do so after appointing a monitor.

26.  Teachers shall attend all regular and special meeting authorized by the principal and no excuse for absence shall be accepted other than a reason that would justify absence from a regular day of school.

27.  Teachers, whose classes are dismissed before the regular closing hours, shall perform such duties during the remaining school hours as the principal may direct.

28.  Primary teachers as well as other teachers in the school system shall remain in the school building until the closing hour.

29.  Teachers are required to furnish reports & records books as well as promptly to the principal at the close of the school ression, all neatly and accurately made up.

30.  When visitors enter the classrooms, the teacher is expected to receive them courteously but to continue with the work at hand as if no one other than the teacher and pupils were present.

31.  The physical education period should be a learning period as well as a period of participation in traditional group games.

32.  If any employee is found/heard criticizing school in any way he/she will not be tolerated and pardoned. and he/she will have to prove his or her innocence to the

Satisfaction of the authorities.

33.  Any amendment, relaxation, cancellation etc of the above rules and regulations is the sole right of management of the school.

34.  Below is a list of suggestions that are of interest and will prove helpful to every teacher if followed.

a)  Become acquinted with parents.

b)  Line in the community where you teach.

c)   Refrain from gossiping.

d)   Your personal conduct should be above reproach.

e) Your school work should be done in satisfactory manner, however, you should budget sometime for extra school activities.

f)   Do not criticize adversely the pupils, school personnel or the school. Try to find something worth praising.

g) Be tactful and understanding with children, co – workers, parents and school patrons.

h) If children and others do not line up to your standards, do not be angry or disturbed. Study their environment and opportunities and be sorry for their condition. Do everything you can to help them.

i)The Teacher should accept the principal’s suggestions, responsibility given, and assist him when requested.

j)The teacher should feel secure and free to express to the principal his or her own ideas and opinions in matters for the betterment of the school system.
